Miss Prasiddhi Kamble has been attending Sulabha Special School since 2015. She has been trained in various sports such as handball, badminton as well as swimming.
At the recently concluded Special Olympics World Games at Berlin Germany, Prasidhhi has made Sulabha Trust for Special education and Research as well as the country proud by winning a Gold Medal in the individual freestyle event and a Silver Medal in the relay event
Apart from training regularly with our school Physical education teacher, she trained twice a week with her local swimming coach. She attended 4 national preparatory camps at 1) Muda - Karnataka 2) Sonipat-Haryana 3) Gandhinagar-Gujarat and 4) Pune.
Apart from sports, she also excels in dance and other crafts like painting, embroidery and Jewellery making.
Her father is an auto driver and her mother is a housewife.
The Special Olympics are held every 4 years for individuals with Intellectual Disability. This year there were athletes from 190 countries. About 200 athletes participated from India.
In the last Special Olympics held at Abu Dhabi in 2019, our student Afrin Ansari had won 2 Gold. Another student Mr. Nitin Desai had won Gold and Silver medals in swimming at Minneapolis, USA. In 1991
