Early Intervention

Team:   Occupational therapist,Hon. Psychiatrist Hon. Pediatrician, Special Educator, Counsellor, Hon.Social Worke

• The clinic functions thrice a week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) between 2.00 to 4.00 p.m.
   
• The clinic team consisted of Hon. Psychiatrist, Headmistress, Special Teacher, Hon. Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, Special Educator and counsellor
   
• 31 children( school and children from outside)attend clinic for therapy by the occupational therapist. The special educator coordinates with the parents for  activities to be given  as home based to their respective child on individual basis 
   
• 8 new cases were followed up for medical guidance and special education assessment by the subcommittee. The counsellor pays home visits to the newly referred cases. They were also referred to the pediatrician for medical guidance.
   
• Individual and group counselling sessions were held.
   
• Senior Psychiatrist Dr. Manilal Gada regularly evaluates children for behaviour problems and  anti epileptic medicines and guides parents
