About Us

Sulabha Trust is a non-governmental organization started in 1979, the year of child. The school started with a handful of children with following objectives:

To give a proper place in society to Mentally handicapped children belonging to various classes and rehabilitate them by:

• Imparting to them suitable skills to adjust in normal society emotionally.
• Imparting to them academic knowledge as for as possible.
• Imparting Pre-Vocational training to enable them to be economically self sufficient.

A small seedling has grown to be a deeply rooted tree with its branches spreading wide to catch the sunshine which can be given to all those who come under its shelter. The number of students has now spiraled to 180 clearly indicating the dire necessity of such a school in the area. 

The dedicated teachers believe in overall achievement or progress of these special children. Their involvement along with the parents make it possible for a child to be successful be it in academics, sports, arts & crafts or any other vocations. 

The Trust Conducts the following : 

Rujuta Hardini Amrut Gada Sulabha Early Intervention Clinic to cater to children below 6 years of age identified as having problems or delayed milestones. The Pediatrician, Psychiatrist, Social Worker, Psychologist help towards better management of the handicap. 

Sulabha Child Guidance Clinic supports & guides parents & families with special needs children.Sulabha School – for children from 5 to 18 years of age, grouped according to functional levels of education – Nursery, Pre-primary, Primary, Secondary and Prevocational. Training and education is given towards overall development of the child – personal, social, functional academics, art, craft, physical education and games.

Smt. Dharshi Monshi Bhuipurwalla Sulabha Speech Therapy Center provides facility for audiometry & speech therapy for young children & children from school with disability.

Deepak Kumar Lalji Chheda Sulabha Vocational Training Center Gives vocational training to young adults with mental handicap from age 18 to 35 yrs in different trades such as making files, envelopes, incense sticks, & making jewellery, operating pedallooms & handlooms to make floor swabs, kitchen napkins, place mats & Saree quits.
